There are many forms of stamping dies. Car parts mould manufacturers will tell you how to classify them. Stamping dies are also classified according to work characteristics, die structure, and die materials.
1. Car parts mould manufacturers classify according to the degree of process combination
A. Single-process die A die that only completes one stamping process in one stroke of the press.
Compound mold: In one stroke of the press, only one station and two or more stamping processes are completed in the same station.
C. Progressive die (also called a continuous die): A die with two or more stations in the direction of the blank feed. In this die, in one stroke of the press, two or more The stamping process is completed one after another in different stations.
2. Car parts mould manufacturers are classified according to the processing methods of mould products
According to different processing methods, molds can be divided into five categories: stamping and shearing molds, bending molds, stretching molds, forming molds, and compression molds.
A. Punching and shearing die: The work is done by shearing. Common forms include cutting dies, blanking dies, punching dies, trimming dies, trimming dies, punching dies and punching dies.
B. Bending mold: The flat blank is bent into an angular shape. According to the shape, precision, and output of the parts, there are many different types of dies, such as ordinary bending dies, cam bending dies, crimping dies, arc bending dies, bending stamping dies and torsion dies.
C. Stretching mold: The stretching mold is a seamless container with a bottom made of a flat blank.
D. Forming mold: Various local deformation methods are used to change the shape of the blank, including bulging molds, piping forming molds, necking forming molds, hole flange forming molds and round edge forming molds.
E. Compression mold: It uses strong pressure to make the metal blank flow and deform into the required shape. Its types include extrusion dies, embossing dies, stamping dies and end pressure dies.
